The Live Art Development Agency (LADA) is collaborating with artist and self-proclaimed weirdo Scottee on a number of projects to celebrate his ten years of making a mess and causing a fuss; to look back on his work as a performer, event maker, activist, host, broadcaster, troublemaker, and firestarter; and to mark his survival.
Scottee: I Made It is an archive book documenting a decade of making it, and The Outsiders’ Handbook is a free survival guide for queer and trans* young people.
Publications Launch Events
Both Scottee: I Made It and The Outsiders Handbook will be launched in September:
- 6 September: London publications launch at LADA
- 13 September: Manchester publications launch at HOME
Performances
From Your Retrospective in which show-offs, punters and die-hard fans will re-enact Scottee’s cabaret and performance work from memory at the Roundhouse, London on Friday 7 and Saturday 8 September 2018. We can’t promise this won’t be a shambles. There will be a booze trolley if all else fails.
Scottee 10 has been supported as part of LADA’s contribution to the Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme (CAPP), part of LADA’s Restock Rethink Reflect Four on Live Art and Privilege (2016-18).
